Laurna Berg has over 35 years of teaching experience in effectively communicating Biblical information, including Ladies Bible Studies, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, 20 years of teaching Precept Upon Precept Bible Studies, as well as having spoken in retreats from Texas A & M to Possum Kingdom Lake. Her presentation as a dynamic interactive teacher of Bible exposition and systematic theology is prayerfully designed to communicating enthusiastically and accurately the incredible Word of God to impact lives for His glory.
Laurna provides a unique blend of spiritual insight, creative storytelling, academic excellence, and love of animals. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 21 after learning about the 100% accuracy of Biblical prophecy, and has made it her life goal to redeem the years the locust have devoured by studying His Word, serving others, and sharing Christ. Her creative and imaginative storytelling was refined with an attentive audience of 5 delightful children. Her academic excellence and precise attention to detail were exemplified in numerous degrees and honors, including having earned a B.A. with a double major in Psychology and in History at UCLA [Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Letters and Science Honors], an M.B.A. with a specialization in Accounting at SMU [Honors, Alpha Lambda Delta], a CPA, and a M.A. in Biblical Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary [graduating with Highest Honors, and recipient of the Charles H. Troutman Scholarship Award]). Laurna’s love of animals reflects the enjoyment of a lifetime of experiences shared with a plethora of over 100 phenomenal pets, including dogs, cats, chinchillas, sheep, rabbits, ducks, sugar gliders, hamsters, parrots, cockatiels, and fresh and salt water fish.
She has published in Bibliotheca Sacra, and co-authored numerous Bible Study Curricula. Laurna’s primary desire is to glorify God through the teaching of His Word in order to equip, encourage, and empower individuals of this generation and the next to share the love of Christ in their homes, careers, and communities.
Laurna has 5 adult children, 4 Grandchildren, and enjoys Bible Study, crafts, genealogy, photography, and traveling. Laurna resides with her husband Doug and their precious pets in Bedford, Texas.
