Frequently Asked Questions

Are Lynx and Cheetah real cats or are they fiction?

Lynx and Cheetah are real feral cats, were our beloved pets for many years (I do not want to reveal the end of the story), and their story is true (although the book is classified as “fiction”).

What happened to Snowy?

Snowy was Lynx and Cheetah’s sister kitten, who was also trapped and taken to the pound in Chapter 1.  Snowy’s fate in the story remains open [not being mentioned again after Chapter 1] resembling the many men and women and boys and girls who have yet to accept God’s grace gift of salvation.  The road is narrow, and many do not find it.  In actuality, Snowy was adopted into another family the day after I adopted Lynx and Cheetah.  The fate of their parent cats, unfortunately, remains unknown.

Why are so many verses in the Supplemental Section?

Originally the verses were integrated into the story.  It was determined that the story could better be understood by children with only a few relevant verses, and that the remaining Biblical material could be made available to interested readers in the concluding Supplemental Section.  The verses are essential in providing the basis for the opinions expressed in the story.  If the author’s opinion was based solely upon feelings or emotion, it could change when circumstances impacted the feelings or emotions.  However, opinions based upon the Word of God are built upon a rock, and will not change when stormy winds occur.

Was this hard to do?

Like any challenge, it took prayer & patience & perseverance, over 16 months, with lots of rejections from publishers and agents, and delays, $$$, but the joy of bringing God’s idea to completion with a professional product to share with others, is priceless. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Psalm 37:4
